In this section, you will find answers to frequently asked questions to help you make informed decisions about renting a storage container from us.
On delivering a 20’ unit about 100’ to pull straight out from under it and about 120’ on a 40’ unit.
We deliver the units with a 1 ½ ton pickup with a tilt bed goose neck trailer.
The 20’ units are about 4500 pounds with the 40’ units about 9000 pounds.
You certainly can, you can come to our facility at 8004 US Hwy 82 West in Brookston and pick the unit that you want.
We are no longer allowed to exempt shipping containers at the time of purchase according to the State Comptroller.
We can usually deliver within 3 or 4 days, depending on the season.
We suggest that you place the unit on at least 4” solid concrete blocks. This allows air to flow under the unit and not trap moisture.
It is 14 gauge.
We can install additional vents and louvers to the unit to help with the heat.
Our new or one trip units are usually beige in color and super clean and straight sided. It has only traveled across the ocean one time. Our used units are different colors, the sides will have some imperfections, but are watertight, seals well and the flooring is good.
If the doors get hard to open, spray penetrating oil on the hinges and put tractor grease on the knuckles.
Ventilation is key to keep condensation from happening in the unit. You may also place 1-2 larger bags of rice, kitty litter or charcoal in the unit to absorb the moisture.
We do not see that information.
Referring to our 40’ units, we carry standard height units at 8’6” tall and high cube units at 9’6” tall.
We are not able to move the 20’ or 40’ units loaded. We can move the Moving Vaults loaded.
